This made me laugh: A child ran up to me yelling, "Ms. Rawson! I've got something for you!!!"

Then he drops to the ground and start taking his shoe off. "Honey, I don't want your sock!" "No, no!" he says. He takes the shoe off and dumps it, and out falls a dollar for his pretzel. Mind you, this little guy has been trying to pay for pretzels with pretend dollars every day. It was a huge victory for him.

And he had a backpack - did the dollar have to be crumpled in his shoe?
